Things that make me tired (or I'm tired of):
- the smell of baby vomit milk on my shirt
- having to wrench my body around to replace a pacifier I'm ready to be rid of
- that final high pitch that says "this baby has had enough -- get over here NOW"
- finding cat vomit in the floor again
- a poopy diaper that has been left on a dirty bum for too long
- remembering I left the bouncy chair outside now that it's pitch black and knowing it will be wet tomorrow
- having to pump every time the girl doesn't have enough patience for let down
- dirty diapers that I forget to take immediately to the pail (shaking my head at myself)
- the worn out feeling that accompanies 8:30p.m. every night when it used to be more like midnight
Things that make it all WORTH WHILE:
- the color of the blue bahama ocean staring back at me from a 7 month old
- warm soft fur on my arm and the gentle rumble of a purr
- baby laughter . . . really the feeling of joy that follows can only come from God
- two little arms that only want mommy
- a grin that can light up the darkest of rooms and the farthest place in my heart
- singing "Good morning to you" (thanks mom) and getting a smile every time
- the wild excitement that emerges at the thought of walking just a few short steps
- contented sighs (of animal, husband, or baby origin)
- the blessed feeling that accompanies 8:30p.m. every night that fills my heart, brings a tear, and reminds me why every hard day is worth every minute
Sometimes it means everything to just take a moment . . . . .

Mommyhood is so hard but so rewarding! That was beautifully said Bri, thanks for reminding me to take a moment. :)
