- She smiles at us daily and has the most beautiful smile
- She is slowly learning how to not be held all the time. Although she would be perfectly happy to ride right next to me in the sling all day long, she now also will enjoy the swing for 30 min or so at a time and the bouncy chair for 10-15 min at a time.
- She does NOT like tummy time - although she picks her head up great and wiggles those little legs like mad (esp. about 5 min into it when she is especially mad).
- The older she gets the more obvious it is that when she is happy, she is very happy, calm, quiet, all smiles, with HUGE inquisitive eyes but when she is mad, she screams louder than Ella ever did (but never for as long because she is easier to calm down).
- She already adores her sister. Ella's voice and touch gets more smiles than either Mommy or Daddy. AND when we're all in the car Ella insist on holding her hand, which keeps her much calmer.
- Her cheeks are getting chubby and we're soon going to be out of newborn clothes.
- She is a wonderful eater and sleeper (opposite from Ella as a baby) which is quite a relief to mama, except when Ella is home. She can sleep through the smoke and heat alarm going off at the same time no problem, but if Ella is downstairs in Daddy's lap talking and Audrey is upstairs in her bed her sister's voice will keep her awake.
- She LOVES to give kisses (when we kiss her cheek, she turns her head to give you a mouth to mouth kiss every time) AND to snuggle (she loves to rub her head on my cheek and neck when she's getting sleepy).
We are having such a wonderful time getting to know this girl and love her so much already. It's amazing how something that is literally and figuratively draining the life and energy out of you can also make you so amazingly attached.
p.s. This post and these pictures were written/taken March 11 (we're catching up to real life slowly, I take LOTS of pictures, but it takes a while to get them posted)!
