Maybe I have mentioned before -- Ella is so much like her Daddy. They have a similar smile, the same energy level, the same grumpy response to being hungry, the same inherent need to be outside as much as possible, AND they both have genius engineering-type minds. David bought this little circuit kit to play and teach Ella about how electricity and circuits work sometime in the future. Well, even though she is only 2 and a half, they got the box out the other day and she started to learn all about the circuit board. Granted she couldn't make them by herself yet, but she CAN tell you where you need to snap the circuits together, point out the motor that powers the system, show you the switch to "turn the light on and off", and tell you how the different resistors make the sounds louder and softer. They have one attachment that plays "Happy Birthday" when you connect it and she loves to listen to it and sing loud and soft. To my mind, this is AMAZING but seeing as how she is only 2 I suppose I should get used to being amazed by this brilliant little girl! Here are some sweet pictures of the two brains hard at work.
