Easter in the Smokeys

Easter 2010 - my brother and his family were preparing for their move to the mission field of Umbale, Uganda and invited us to meet up with them in Tennessee and spend a little time with them before they were gone for 3 long years.

It was a long car ride, but elephant made the drive down smooth and sleeeeeepy!

We met u with them and said hello on Saturday night. We made plans for the next day and then Ella did her favorite thing to do at any hotel . . . . .

A BATH !!!

(yes, we still dont have a tub at the house . . . . but stay tuned for news on that front as well)

Then it was time for a little diaper romp on the big fluffy hotel beds.

While we waited for my brother's crew to get up and fed and all that in the morning, we went for a little hotel swim (another favorite thing for Ella).

Later that day we went on a hike with my brother's family in the Great Smokey's

Our little tomboy cannot help diving into any available water - no matter how cold.

Ella insisted on holding Jessye's hand while we walked (until she tripped and made Jessye fall, but after a few tears from Jess and wiped knees all around, all was good again)
