Happy Birthday to our . . . .

TWO YEAR OLD!!!!

On Ella's special day, we woke her up with the video camera singing "Happy Birthday". She jumped up from bed and grinned and sang along with us. Then we all went downstairs for her birthday pancake (home made by Daddy of course) where we sang again and made a big fuss over her and even let her open a present or two. Ella then picked out the YELLOW pretty outfit to wear to the sitter's house that day. She received a card from the sitters and a new baby doll and some play dough from her best friend Ayden. Grandma Lois and Grandpa Joe came up for the weekend as well and after Mommy got out of work we all went out to eat, where Ella could order "Pizza" (her favorite thing to eat and to order from the waitress). It was getting late and Ella was sleepy, but we couldn't finish a birthday without presents and cake. You can see the dark circles under the poor girl's eyes, but she was happy-go-lucky all evening and didn't even consider a tantrum.

Here are some pictures of the home party.

I think her favorite present was a card you open to hear Minnie Mouse singing Happy Birthday. She opened it until it died 2 or 3 days later and then re-discovered it a week later after it had time to recharge and work again. She giggled and giggled at that card.

The complete haul!

I love my family!!

Since the birthday, we have been working on her reply to "How old are you?". In general she answers "One" and I say No, you're not one and then she says "Two" with a big grin. I think she gets a kick out of pretending she doesn't really know.
